Nira Pereg is a video artists who originates from a sculptural practice
into complex video instaltions. Her works deal with re-directing the documentary
footage in a subversive poetic way, always emphasizing a critical ironic aspect,
and reacting to different locations and situation she is faced with in her
traveling. She has shown extensively across Israel, europe and america.
Exhibitions include shows at P.S.1 Contemporary art center, New York and
Platform Istanbul. Based in Israel and in Germany. Ms Pereg has been teaching
video installtion workshops for the last six years at major art academies in
Israel and Germany . At the moment Ms Pereg is a visiting professor at the HFG,
Karlsruhe, Germany.
