Aleksandar Battista Ilic (Croatia, 1965), multidisciplinary artist, cultural activist, and initiator of Community Art; Project leadership of Zagreb – Cultural Kapital of Europe 3000.
Graduated Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1992. Initiated projects of different formats: public discussions, walks, performances, workshops and films. Author and initiator of several group and collaborative projects.
In 1991 initiated and co-organized of EgoEast, group project (with Ivana Keser).
In 2001 initiated and co-organized the NGO Community Art and the non- institutional Community Art and Theory School (with Ivana Keser)
Editor and co-editor of several books and magazines in the field of Contemporary Art, cultural activism and film.
Lecturer at the Department for Animated Film and New Media, Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb.
